Although the application had a version optimized for mobile viewing, it was unable to provide an adequate user experience. Despite the fact that the web version was optimized for mobile viewing, it became clear that it could not provide the same intuitive and efficient user experience that a dedicated mobile application offers. There was a clear need for a solution that would offer an optimal experience for mobile and tablet users in line with new technological trends.
The client is one of the world's best-known and longest-established music publishers, representing numerous artists and albums. In addition to its global influence, it is also renowned for its innovative technological solutions and rapid adaptation to market trends. Their dynamic, multifaceted approach to the music industry ensures that they are always at the forefront, whether it's the latest digital platforms, marketing strategies, or artistic collaborations. One of the client's key application projects helps manage the release of music tracks worldwide. The explosive growth of mobile technology and the proliferation of smartphones and tablets have presented this application with a serious challenge.
The solution
The solution we developed was a sophisticated mobile application that provided users with all the functionality of the web-based system, but with mobile-optimized views. The solution features the simplified display typical of mobile applications and familiar user interface elements. We designed the application to be installable on both iOS and Android platforms, ensuring maximum reach and user base.
However, the challenge was not only in developing the mobile application. It was important to ensure that the new application would integrate seamlessly with the existing backend system. Given that the backend system already had all the necessary business logic, the challenge was to create a thin, efficient, and fast client.
We had to choose from among modern technologies and frameworks one that would meet not only current but also future needs. To this end, we opted for the Flutter framework, which not only offers the advantages of cross-platform development but also provides a fast, efficient, and sophisticated user experience.

When we talk about software development, the technological background and operation of the developed solution are just as important as the user experience itself. The mobile application developed by Gloster-P92 ITS Kft. is not just another application on the market. It is much more than that: it is a revolutionary technical solution that lies in the communication between the backend and frontend.
Most applications use standard protocols for communication between the server and the client. However, our application uses a proprietary, custom-designed binary protocol over a WebSocket connection. This solution provides exceptional speed and efficiency, minimizing data transfer delays and increasing system performance.
The design of the mobile application is based on the "thin client" principle. This means that complex business logic and validation rules run on the backend system, and the application is only responsible for display.
Every interaction with the application, whether it is pressing a button or filling in a data entry field, is forwarded directly to the backend system, where a response is received based on the appropriate business logic, controlling the mobile application.
This architecture allows complex and frequently changing business logic to be implemented only once, on the backend, minimizing the number of potential errors and development time. In the initial approach, the configuration of UI elements also came from the backend. However, this has evolved over time, allowing us to define which fields should be present on which interfaces in the application.

The client had been working with P92 for many years. The knowledge of backend, desktop, and web applications developed during previous projects was already available at P92. This was a significant advantage at the start of the new project, as in-depth knowledge of existing systems was extremely valuable. The trust built up during previous collaborations and the close relationship developed through working together enabled the new project to be started quickly and efficiently.
But the technological advantages also spoke in favor of P92. The company already had knowledge of the Flutter framework. This framework enables simple and fast development on different platforms without having to implement the application separately. P92's expertise in Flutter meant that the client could be sure that they would receive the new application in the best possible quality and as quickly as possible.
